about
This is a song about being a teenager and rocking the fuck out of a hall. This is a song about wearing a Poison The Well sweatshirt with the hood up during your whole set. This is a song about not giving a shit about anything besides those 30 kids screaming your words right back at you.
We grew up during the "NWI Glory Days". That was a time when a small, shitty, boring region of the United States had a ridiculously thriving music scene.
Promoters would throw shows at coffee houses, legion halls, sports complexes. Anywhere, really. And the coolest part was, no matter how stupid and diverse the line-ups would be, the shows were ALWAYS packed.
From 2003-2007, the music scene in Northwest Indiana was the center of the fucking universe. As far as we were concerned anyway. A ton of great bands, packed shows every weekend, good friends everywhere you looked, and the positivity in the air was so emence you could literally breathe it in.
I'd like to take the moment to shout out Jeremy Williams for being the cornerstone of everything that once was.

Our Youth Has Faded,

So far, so long
Next show, next song
Our sweat, our blood
This stage, our love
We're pouring out our hearts
On stage this weekend
Giving everything that we have
Time and time again
Everyone came to sing with me
I know everything we do
Won't matter in the end
But it's everything right now
I know we will set it up
Just to tear it down again
Because it's all that we know how
So far, so long
Next show, next song
One set, one night
Play hard, play right
We're pouring out our hearts
On stage this weekend
Giving everything that we have
Time and time again
And everyone came to sing with me
I know everything we do
Won't matter in the end
But it's everything right now
I know we will set it up
Just to tear it down again
Because it's all that we know how
Every one to sing with me
With me
